Govt keen to meet developmental aspirations of people: Slathia

SAMBA, Oct 28: Minister for Industries and Commerce, Surjit Singh Slathia on Sunday inaugurated newly constructed 1.5 km link road to Kamala (Radha Swami Ashram) in Vijaypur constituency.
The link road completed at a cost of Rs 30 lakh would benefit a large number of people in the area.
Addressing a public meeting after the inauguration, the Minister said that the State Government was keen to meet the developmental aspirations of the people particularly of the neglected areas.
He said that the Coalition Government headed by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah was committed to socio-economic empowerment of the people, especially those living in hilly, remote and far-flung areas.
Responding to local demands, he assured the people for early construction of road from Jakh to Rara via Dabuj. He also assured for early opening of Veterinary Sub-Centre at Kamala.
Slathia appealed the people to strengthen the hands of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for equitable and holistic development of all the three regions of the State. He said massive development has been registered in every nook and corner of the State, adding that provision of all basic amenities to the people of the State is the basic agenda of the Coalition Government.
He said the Government was making all out efforts to develop a strong infrastructural base in the State to accelerate socio -economic development of all the under-developed areas.
District Development Commissioner Samba Mubarak Singh and other senior officers of various departments accompanied the Minister.
