JAMMU, Sept 16:  The Government is least bothered about the Government schools, which can be gauged from the fact that Government Middle School, Ratnuchak, which was upgraded last year is being run by merely two teachers that too in two rooms.
The children despite being neatly dressed are bound to sit on floor mats, which reminds us of time of fifties and sixties of 20th century, as there are no benches to sit, Mother The Nature (MTN)— a social organization found in its survey.
The organization also observed that with full six months of session 2013-14 already over, the students entitled to receive free book supply had not received books of English and Hindi of Class 5th, mathematics of class 6th besides other stationary including notebooks, pencils and pens, till August end.
Similarly, in Government High School, Kaluchak, the students of class 8th have not received their Mathematics books till end of August.
SS Bijral, former IGP and Director General of Mother The Nature, urged the Director School Education to remove these deficiencies in these two schools at the earliest.
