Govt made 4 major decisions in 1st month: Sadiq

SRINAGAR, Nov 18: The National Conference (NC) chief spokesperson and Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Zadibal today highlighted four major decisions made by the Omar Abdullah-led NC-Congress alliance Government as it completes one month in office in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
Speaking to reporters in Srinagar, Sadiq said that within this month, four significant decisions were made. These include the passing of the resolution for special status in the Assembly by a large majority.
He said that Chief Minister Omar Abdullah had passed a resolution for Statehood in his Cabinet, which was then presented to the Home Minister, Amit Shah and the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, receiving a very positive reception.
Sadiq also mentioned that the demand of children and their parents for the return of the November session had been fulfilled, along with age relaxation for competitive examinations. “These four decisions in one month are a very significant achievement. We promise that the 12 guarantees and the 26 promises in our manifesto will be fulfilled,” he said.
He emphasized that the National Conference Government has a five-year mandate and assured that all promises will be implemented within this period. “I would like to congratulate the people from the bottom of my heart. On behalf of the National Conference, I promise that we will address the problems they face and reduce them,” he said.
He also discussed ongoing issues such as electricity supply, including the discussion on providing 200 units, and the ration distribution, including matters related to kerosene, coal, and other essential items.
