JAMMU, Aug 21: The Jammu and Kashmir Reserved Categories Empowerment Alliance (JKRCEA) has alleged that after trying to freeze reservation in promotions, the State Government was mulling to dilute SC certificates.
In joint press conference here today, the senior RCEA members alleged that Government after damaging the interests of the reserved categories by refusing promotion benefits  is mulling to dilute  SC certificates by issuing the fake ones to many families.  They  condemn both State & Central Governments’ dubious stands on the varied issues pertaining to SC/ST/ OBCs and religious minorities of the country.
They alleged that present State Government has tried its best to finish reservation in promotions deliberately misinterpreting Apex Court interim directions in favor of upper caste employees through bureaucrats in power corridors backed by both BJP-PDP Ministers and MLAs. Despite clear directions, the  bureaucrats are sitting over court orders. But now issuance of fake SC certificates is matter of serious concern. It is attack on the rights of SCs. Such certificates have been issued in Bani, Basohli, Rajouri, Ramban, Doda Reasi, Udhampur and other areas. They said that an inquiry should be held into it.
Besides Sham Lal Bassan – president, Dalit Chetna Manch, Bodh Raj Bhagat – Bhagat Mahasabha president, Prof G L Thappa, Prof Kali Dass, Mohinder Bhagat and Abul Majid also spoke on the occasion.
It was unanimously decide that if Government fails to address the genuine issue of SC,ST, OBCs, a massive rally shall be held in the winter capital of the state,  repercussions if any shall be the sole responsibility of the Government. The issues was  supported by Jammu Kashmir Reserved Categories Employees Association,  a frontal organization of employees of reserved categories.
