Govt neglecting far-flung areas of Kishtwar: Bhandari

JAMMU, Aug 21: Senior Congress leader and member Civil Society Kishtwar, Shamsher Singh Bhandari has turned the attention of authorities towards the plight of people living in Kontwara and other far-flung areas of the district which lack basic facilities of life.
In a statement issued here, today he urged the Government to pay attention towards the development of this backward area which sans basic facilities of life and start construction of link roads, water supply schemes and schools etc in the area.
He also demanded measures be taken to stop the soil erosion in the area which can pose a threat to inhabitations there.
Bhandari while expressing concern over the condition of Batote Kishtwar road said despite repeated pleas no steps were taken for four lanning of the Highway. He also demanded that work be started on Rattle power project and other projects in the Chenab valley besides posting the doctors and para medical staff in DH Kishtwar and other hospitals.
