The meeting was presided over by Advocate Ravinder Raina, president ASKPC. The major organizations who participated in the meeting were AIKPC lead by H.N. Jattu, Kuldeep Raina, Samajik Vikas Sanstha, Vinod Pandit of APMCC , T.N.Koul, president TRT Muthi, R.L.Pandita Chairman PNBMT, S.L.Koul , Vijay Bhat Panun Kashmir, Ashok Koul TRT Nagrota, A.K.Sidha president Mattan Trust, M.K.Jalali, Sharika Peeth, T.K.Ganjoo and all executive members of ASKPC.
Advocate Ravinder Raina in his address was very critical of present administration in solving the burning problems of the community and demanded Government administration should issue blue print for rehabilitation of the community which is in exile for the last 30 years and simultaneously community should be declared internally displaced as it has been hounded out of their home and hearths and have not migrated of its own or wishfully.
H.N.Jattu in his speech highlighted the miseries faced by the community and said that it has been marginalized after facing genocide perpetuated by Pan islamic fundamentalists and followed by ethnic cleansing. It is strange that 30 years have passed, but not a single culprit/murderer was booked by the law of the land and height of thing is that though the community approached highest court of India , but no attention was paid to grant mercy to it.
R.L.Pandita and Kuldeep Raina in their address appealed to the Governor’s administration that community is fighting for the passage of Temple and Shrine Bill for last 8 years , but the same has always been put in the dustbin by the successive Governments reason best known to them.
Dr T.K.Bhat general secretary, ASKPC said Kashmiri Pandits are at the cross roads and there is uncertainty that the return and rehabilitation policy of the Government is on papers and there are no takers for it even employment scheme for Kashmiri youth failed to yield desired results as 3000 educated youth of the community were given employment in Kashmir against 6000 posts sanctioned under PM package.
After thorough discussion and deliberations it was unanimously resolved that community will held protest demonstration in front of Raj Bhawan on 19/01/2019 on Holocaust day the day when out community was hounded out their homes and hearths.
