Srinagar, Jan 7: The Government has ordered an inquiry into the incorporation of a joined candidate into the list of non-joined candidates furnished by the Chief Engineer PW (R&B) Department to the Civil Secretariat.
The PWD recently made appointments in non-gazetted cadre and CE PWD sent a list to the Civil Secretariat in which one of the candidates was shown to have not joined. The appointment of the candidate was cancelled and later CE sent another list in which he was shown to have joined the department.
Additional Secretary Public Works (R&B), Shahid Mehmood, has been made an Inquiry Officer to look into the matter and submit a report within 10 days. He has been asked to fix the responsibility for the lapse and initiate strict disciplinary action.
