Govt organizations celebrate I-Day with fervor, gaiety across J&K

JAMMU, Aug 16: Various Government organizations celebrated 77th Independence Day with enthusiasm and great charm across J&K yesterday.
The 77th Independence Day was celebrated in all districts across Jammu province with patriotic enthusiasm and gaiety. Police CAPF and other forces including students participated in parades in all the districts of Jammu zone.
In Jammu, the Advisor to Lt Governor, Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar unfurled the National Flag and took salute at the march past at Parade Ground Jammu. Various contingents of Police, Home Guards, Fire & Emergency Services, IRP and CAPFs were part of the parade on the occasion.
In other districts of Jammu province, respective chairpersons of District Development Councils president over the parades. The prizes were distributed among the best contingents of the Parade, cultural programmes , meritorious students and other participants.
The Additional Director General of Police Jammu Zone, Mukesh Singh congratulated all ranks of the Police, CAPFs and other agencies in the duties for smooth functioning of the Independence Day for the excellent work done by them.
The Independence Day was celebrated by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) at Katra yesterday. Chief Executive Officer of Shrine Board, Anshul Garg on the occasion hoisted the National Flag at the Central Office of the Shrine Board and its Sports Complex, Katra.
Speaking on the occasion, he highlighted the infrastructural development taken place under the directions and guidance of Chairman SMVDSB, and Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha for the facilitation of the pilgrims.
A grand function as organised at Government Hospital, Gandhi Nagar here to celebrate the Independence Day. The theme of the celebrations this year was Nation First, Always First which is an integral part of the broader Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
Dr Sheetal Singh, Professor and Ex Head of Department of Surgery, Government Medical College, Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion. A colorful flag hoisting ceremony was held in the Hospital which was followed by National Anthem and release of Tricolour balloons in the sky.
The function concluded with the vote of tanks given by Dr Parveen Yograj , Medical Superintendent , Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar with an appeal to people to follow “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign.
Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) Jammu celebrated the Independence Day at its premises. Prof Anil Kumar Saumitra , Regional Director unfurled the National Flag on the occasion. He said Har Ghar Tiranga must reach the society. He emphasized the Prime Minister’s message Nation First, Always First among academicians and staff of IIMC. The function was moderated by Dr Vinti Utpal and organized by Dr Dilip Kumar.
The CSIR Indian Institute of Integrated Medicines (IIIM) Jammu celebrated the 77th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and fervor at its main campus here. Dr Zabeer Ahmed, Director CSIR-IIIM hoisted the National Flag on the occasion and took salute at the ceremonial march past by security men of the Institute and students of RRL High School.
Dr Zabeer Ahmed on the occasion extended warm greetings to the audience and recalled the supreme sacrifices of the national heroes who laid down their lives for the country.
To commemorate the 76th independence Day, Tain Rashtriya Rifles organised an independence week on the theme, Meri Maati -Mera Desh where in large number of activities were carried out in the remote border area of Rajouri and Naushera to inform the locals of the sacrifices of the freedom fighters.
During the week, Battalions organised motivational lectures for the youth to encourage them to work towards growth of the nation. The youth were educated about the struggle of Indian Independence. The plantation drive was also organized.
The week -long celebrations concluded with hoisting of National Flags in various schools of Rajouri and Naushera.
Pakal Dul Hydro Electric Power Project an undertaking of Chenab Valley Power Project Private Limited (CVPPL) celebrated 77th Independence Day with remarkable patriotic fervor and enthusiasm.
The celebration took the form of half day sports and cultural event held at Power House site Office, Arzi village Kishtwar. The event started with hoisting of National Flag by Ramesh Mukhiya (GGM) Head of Projects (HOP) at Pakal Dul HE Project.
The 77th Independence Day was celebrated and Flag hoisting was held at Railway Station Jammu Tawi.
Chief guest Parteek Shrivastava (Station Director Railway Station Jammu Tawi hoisted the National Flag . Other dignitaries present were the SDPO, GRP, Albina Malik, ASC RPF, Station Manager, Jugal Kishore Sharma, Chief Commercial Inspector, Parshotam Singh. On the occasion president Collie Association, Mukesh Kumar and president Taxi Operators Union were also present.
Independence Day was celebrated in Directorate of Health Services, Jammu with great enthusiasm and fervor. Director Health Services Jammu, Dr Rajeev Kumar Sharma hoisted the National Flag that was followed by singing of National Anthem. DHS Jammu congratulated everyone on the day and recalled the sacrifices of freedom fighters.
Chenab Valley Power Project Pvt Ltd also celebrated the Independence Day with fervor and gaiety. Hasan Nadeem, Managing Director hoisted the National Flag at its corporate Office Jammu and congratulated the employees and their families on the occasion.
Sher -I- Kashmir Police Academy Udhampur celebrated the Independence Day with great patriotic fervor and enthusiasm. ADGP/Director Police Academy, Garib Dass unfurled the National Flag and took general salute of the parade contingents. Director highlighted the essence of Independence Day in his address on the occasion.
Independence Day was celebrated in District Jail Jammu in which jail staff, CRPF personnel and jail inmates participated. The jail inmates and the staff presented colourful cultural programme on the occasion. The Superintendent of Jail, Harish Kotwal who hoisted the Tri Colour highlighted the importance of the Day.
The Independence Day was celebrated in the Police Technical Training Institute (PTTI), Vijaypur with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. On the occasion, Shiv Kumar , SSP/Principal PTTI, Vijaypur hoisted the National Flag and also presided over the function.
Directorate of Ayush J&K celebrated the 77th independence Day with great fervor and enthusiasm at Government Ayurvedic Hospital Jammu. Dr Mohan Singh Director Ayush J&K unfurled the National Flag at the premises of Government Ayurvedic Hospital in presence of Dr Suresh Sharma, Deputy Director Ayush , Sonam Singh , Accounts Officer, Dr Rakesh Kumar Raina Assistant Director. A colourful programme was also organised in which medical officers, paramedical staff, interns and general public actively participated.
Dulhasti Power Station celebrated the 77th Independence Day with great fervor and enthusiasm. The function began with the unfurling of National Flag by M K Kashyap Group General Manager and singing of National Anthem at administrative building of Dulhasti Power Station Kishtwar. He also inspected the Guard of Honour presented by Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).
NMDC, the country’s largest iron ore producing Navratna mining company celebrated 77th Independence Day by hoisting the National Flag at the Company Headquarters in Hyderabad and all the project sites with great fervor.
On the 77th Independence Day full dress Parade ceremony was held at District Sports Stadium, Kathua amid tight security arrangements. On the occasion DDC Chairman, Kathua, Col (rtd) Mahan Singh was the chief guest who along with Deputy Commissioner, Kathua, Rakesh Minhas and Senior Superintendent of Police , Shivdeep Singh Jamwal unfurled the National Flag and took salute on the march past of the participating contingents. The parade was commanded by SDPO Border, Dheeraj Singh Katoch.
The 77th Independence Day was celebrated in solemn and dignified demeanor at District Court Complex Janipur, Jammu as part of the ongoing celebrations of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. The Theme of the celebrations was Nation First, Always First. Sanjay Parihar, Principal District and Session Judge, Jammu hoisted the National Flag on the occasion. The band from Police Department played the National Anthem during the hoisting of the National Flag and presenting of the Rashtriya Salute. The welcome address was given by Ms Smriti Sharma, secretary DLSA Jammu.
Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Income Tax Office , Katra. Prominent among those present included tax professionals , businessmen and family members of the Aaykar Parivar, Katra. On the occasion National Flag was unfurled by the Income Tax Officer, Katra, Vijay Choudhary followed by National Anthem.
The 77th Independence Day was celebrated by the Fire & Emergency Services Batamaloo, Srinagar with great fervor and enthusiasm. The programme was attended by the jawans of Services, school children and staff from various schools. Alok Kumar ADGP, Director Fire and Emergency Services J&K unfurled the National Flag on the occasion.
Powergrid Northern Region Transmission System II celebrated the 77th Independence Day with patriotism and enthusiasm at all the establishments across the region. Rajesh Kumar, Executive Director NRTAS II unfurled the National Flag at 220/66 kv Leh Sub Station. As part of Meri Maati, Mera Desh, Rajesh Kumar also felicitated ex-servicemen rendering security services at this Substation. He also highlighted the supreme sacrifices of freedom fighters on the occasion.
Airports Authority of India (AAI) celebrated the 77th Independence Day with traditional farvour and patriotism at Civil Airport Jammu. S K Garg, Airport Director Jammu hoisted the National Flag. Staff of AAI, CISF and various airlines participated in the celebrations. Airport Director greeted the people on the occasion and recalled the sacrifices made by freedom fighters.
NHPC Limited , India’s premier hydropower company celebrated India’s 77th Independence Day on August 15 at NHPC Office Complex , Faridabad with full patriotic fervor and enthusiasm. The celebration began with the hoisting of National Flag by R K Vishno, CMD, NHPC and signing of National Anthem. R P Goyal Director Finance, NHPC, Uttam Lal, Director Personnel, senior officers, employees along with their family members were present on the occasion.
JKAP 7th Battalion celebrated the 77th Independence Day at Battalion Hqrs APC, Channi Himmat near here. The Flag was hoisted by Suneel Raj, Commandant JKAP 7th Bn at Battalion Hqs, Chhani Himmat. He congratulated officers and jawans on the occasion.
All India Institute of Local Self Government, Jammu celebrated the 77th Independence Day in its institute Karan Nagar here with pomp and show. The staff of the institute , faculty and students participated in the colourful function. The Flag was hoisted by Regional Director, Dr K B Magotra which was flowed by singing of National Anthem.
State Motor Garages celebrated the 77th Independence Day with great fervor and enthusiasm in its premises here. Deputy Director of State Motor Garages, Jammu province Shakeel Ahmed Khan unfurled the National Flag on the occasion. He was accompanied by P K Bhat (AO), Qazi Naveed , Works Manager, Divinder Singh and Anju Sharma , SO Administration and other officers on the occasion.
The Independence Day was celebrated at Bn Headquarters and Ashok Kumar Sharma, Commandant JKAP Fourth Bn hoisted the National Flag on the occasion which was followed by National Anthem. The programme was anchored by Dimple Billowria.
Flag hoisting on the occasion of 77th Independence Day was also held at all the subdivision stations of GRP Jammu. Prateek Shrivastava, DTM Railway, Jammu IRTC hoisted the National Flag. On the occasion, SDPO Railway Albeena Malik , SHO GRP, Niaz Ahmed, inspectors and other officials were present.
Secretary, District Legal Services Authority Reasi celebrated the Independence Day at District Court Complex Reasi with full zeal.
The event commenced with the hoisting of national Flag by Sonia Gupta, Principal District and Sessions Judge Reasi and Chairman District Legal Services Authority followed by reciting of National Anthem by school children and all participants.
President of Bar Association Reasi also spoke on the occasion and Advocate MS Mir presented a patriotic song. The event was attended by CJM Reasi Archana Charak, Secretary District Level Services Authority Reasi Sunil Kumar, Munsiff Reasi Arti Devi, Munsiff Katra Lakshay Bandral, Additional Munsiff Priyanka Mahajan, AAP Reasi Ashwani Kumar and others.
In a resplendent display of patriotism and unity, the 77th Independence Day was celebrated with great fervor at the District Court Complex Budgam. On the occasion, Principal District & Sessions Judge, and Chairman, DLSA, Budgam, Khalil Choudhary hoisted the National Flag and took the salute at the March past.
The celebration was graced by the distinguished presence of Additional District & Sessions Judge, Budgam, Aijaz Ahmad Khan; Chief Judicial Magistrate, Budgam, Noor Mohammad Mir; Special Mobile Magistrate, Budgam, Sheikh Gowher; Civil Judge Jr. Division, Farrah Bashir; Officers from the Prosecution Department, members of the legal fraternity, including lawyers from the Bar, officers and ministerial court staff, and officers, staff members of the DLSA, Budgam and para legal volunteers (PLVs).
Khalil Choudhary in his address highlighted the sacrifices of freedom fighters and the resilience of every Indian who has contributed to shaping our great nation.
