Govt Polytechnic, CT Group of Institutions conducting ‘Job Fest’ on May 9

JAMMU, May 6: Department of Technical Education, Government Polytechnic, Jammu in association with CT Group of Institutions is conducting a “Job Fest-2015” on May 9 with an endeavour of providing employment opportunities to Polytechnic students from all over Jammu at 250 job vacancies.
More than 12 renowned multinational and national companies including Click Labs, Tyco Electronics, Videocon and Embrixinfratech will conduct their placement process for the final semester students and pass-out for session 2014 of all branches. At the fest, there will be as many as 1000 students from different Polytechnics affiliated under Directorate of Technical Education, J&K.
Er Arun Bangotra, Principal, Government Polytechnic, Jammu said that only those candidates are eligible to appear in the final interviews who will qualify the pre-assessment test.
He informed that the pre-assessment test has already started from May 2, adding that this test is for the students of 2015 batch while pass-out students of 2014 batch can have direct entry.
“Appearing for the different round of group discussion and written test students will be short-listed for the personal interview round. The pre-assessment test was held on Government Polytechnic Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Government Women Polytechnic Jammu, NITS Jammu and Government Polytechnic Udhampur. Besides there will be seminar on group discussion and personal interview by the experts”, he stated.
Abhishek Soni, Deputy Director, Centre for Career Planning and Counseling, CT Group of Institutions said that the “Job Fest” is one of the most remarkable events that will bring together organizations from various sectors including Government, non-Government, private, international and bilateral organizations under one roof with highly competitive and professional job seekers, thereby serving as the platform for an open and wide-ranging employment opportunities for the students.
He expressed contentment by virtue of the fact that the institutions will be able to generate employment opportunities for the masses through this mega event.
“With an objective to provide job opportunities to the students, we are organizing such events in Punjab and other States as well”, he informed.
