JAMMU, Sept 12: An awareness camp was organized by Government Polytechnic Bikram Chowk here today at its extension centre in Panchayat Ghar Haripur, Block Mandal Phallian.
On this occasion Sukhnandan Choudhary, Ex-Minister; Arun Bangotra, Principal Govt Polytechnic; Amit Kumar Sharma, Coordinator PWD Scheme and Balbir Kumar, Sarpanch distributed tool kits, stipend and certificates among the successful candidates trained at the Extension Centre under Person With Disability (PWD) Scheme.
Speaking on the occasion Sukhnandan Chowdhary said, the benefits of the scheme should be availed by the needy persons with disabilities to earn livelihood.
Speaking on the occasion Arun Bangotra, Principal made aware the general public about the benefits of various skill development courses and stress upon maximum enrolment of the disabled candidates under this scheme so that the disabled students can take maximum benefit of this scheme.
Amit Kumar, Co-ordinator of PWD Scheme highlighted the benefits of the scheme and the courses being run under PWD scheme at Govt Polytechnic Jammu.
Thirty-six pass out candidates under non-formal scheme of PWD were given certificates, tool kits and stipend so that they can start their own work in the relevant fields in which they have completed their course.
Other who were present on the occasion were Amarjeet Kour, Sarpanch; Nitin Sharma, Naib Sarpanch; Kamlesh Kumari, Panch; Seema Devi, Panch; Neelam Sharma, Panch; Shamsher Chand, Panch; Nath Ram, Panch; Janak Raj, Panch; Bansi Lal, Panch; Gurdyal, Ganesh; Consultant, local trainers and various staff and students of the Extension Center.
