Govt, private institutions’ plea to Chairman BOSE

KISHTWAR, Aug 31: The representatives of various Government and private educational institutions have appealed to the Chairman, J&K Board of School Education (BOSE) to conduct the examination of class 10th and 12th in the last week of November.
This was stated by delegation of Government and private educational institutions, which visited the EXCELSIOR office today.
Consequent upon the situations arising out of intermittent earthquake, tense atmosphere and curfew, almost three months of the precious period of schooling and academic activities of the student community of Kishtwar, Doda and Ramban has been badly affected, they said.
They added that in Kishtwar particular schooling is not still on track and it may take some more time to gain impetus in academic activities.
They urged the Chairman, BOSE to conduct the examination of class 10th and 12th in the last week of November, so as to bring schools and students out of pulls and pressures of earlier examination and also give the opportunity to the students to improve and prepare thoroughly for the ensuing board exams.
