JAMMU, July 9: The Jammu and Kashmir Government today accorded sanction to the promotion of Selection Grade (SG) and Time Scale officers of the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service.

As per an order, two Selection Grade officers- Shahnaz Akhter and Rajnish Kumar- have been promoted to the Special Scale of the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service in pay level 13 with effect from June 5, 2024.
Another order accorded sanction to the promotion of five time scale officers to the Selection Grade of the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service in pay level 12 with effect from June 5, 2024. Among the promoted officers are Lal Chand, Naeem-ul-Nisa, Rakesh Kumar-II, Abdul Gaffar Zargar and Malik Suhail Ahmad.
Consequent upon their promotion, the Government designated one of the officers Malik Suhail Ahmad as Additional Secretary to the Government, General Administration Department while the other officers have been asked to continue at their present places of postings, till further orders.
