JAMMU, Apr 26: Government of Jammu and Kashmir today re-constituted various Development Authorities of Tourism Department in the Union Territory for a period of two years.
Three of these Tourism Development Authorities at Patnitop, Pahalgam and Gulmarg are headed by Lt Governor Manoj Sinha while Chief Secretary Arun Kumar Mehta is Chairman of the remaining 18, constituted in terms of Jammu and Kashmir Development Authority Act, 1970.
According to an order in this regard, Patnitop Development Authority (PDA) comprises Chief Secretary, Administrative Secretary, Finance Department; Administrative Secretary, Planning, Development & Monitoring Department; Administrative Secretary, Tourism Department; Director Tourism, Jammu; Deputy Commissioner, Jammu; Chief Town Planner, Jammu; representative of Wildlife Department (not below the rank of Regional Wildlife Warden); Superintending Engineer, PW(R&B) Department, concerned; Divisional Forest Officer, concerned as the Members and Chief Executive Officer, PDA as the Member Secretary.
Pahalgam Development Authority comprises Chief Secretary, Administrative Secretary, Finance Department; Administrative Secretary, Planning, Development & Monitoring Department; Administrative Secretary, Tourism Department; Deputy Commissioner, Anantnag; Director Tourism, Kashmir; Chief Town Planner, Kashmir; representative of Wildlife Department (not below the rank of Regional Wildlife Warden); Superintending Engineer, PW(R&B) Department, concerned; Divisional Forest Officer, concerned as the Members and Chief Executive Officer, Pahalgam Development Authority as the Member Secretary.
Members of Gulmarg Development Authority are Chief Secretary, Administrative Secretary, Finance Department; Administrative Secretary, Planning, Development & Monitoring Department; Administrative Secretary, Tourism Department; Deputy Commissioner, Baramulla; Director Tourism, Kashmir; Chief Town Planner, Kashmir; representative of Wildlife Department (not below the rank of Regional Wildlife Warden); Superintending Engineer, PW(R&B) Department, concerned and DFO concerned while CEO of the Development Authority is the Member Secretary.
Aharbal Development Authority, which is headed by Chief Secretary, J&K as the Chairman, comprises Administrative Secretary, Finance Department; Administrative Secretary, Planning, Development & Monitoring Department; Administrative Secretary, Tourism Department; Deputy Commissioner, Kulgam; Director Tourism, Kashmir; Special Secretary/Additional Secretary Tourism Department; Chief Town Planner, Kashmir; representative of Wildlife Department (not below the rank of Regional Wildlife Warden); Superintending Engineer, PW(R&B) Department, concerned and DFO concerned as the Members while CEO of Aharbal Development Authority is the Member Secretary.
Chief Secretary is also Chairman of Bhaderwah Development Authority, Doodhpathri Development Authority, Hygam-Ningli Development Authority, Kokernag Development Authority, Kishtwar Development Authority, Lolab-Bangus-Drangyari Development Authority, Surinsar-Mansar Development Authority, Poonch Development Authority, Rajouri Development Authority, Sonamarg Development Authority, Shopian Dubjan Peer Ki Gali Development Authority, Verinag Development Authority, Wullar-Manasbal Development Authority, Yousmarg Development Authority, Bani Basohli Development Authority, Billwar-Duggam(Lakhanpur-Sarthal) Development Authority and Tosa-Maidan Development Authority.
