JAMMU, May 4: the UT Government today announced four percent Dearness Allowance (DA) for the Government employees, pensioners and family pensioners.
With four percent hike, the DA has gone up to 42 percent of basis pay with effect from 1.1.2023.

An order issued by the Finance Department said the arrears on account of additional installment of DA with effect from January 2023 shall be paid in cash in the month of May and shall form part of salary from May onwards to the Government employees.
The pensioners/family pensions will also be paid arrears in cash in May while DA will become part of pension/family pension from May onwards.
