JAMMU, June 26: The Government today revised the DA of the employees and pensioners who were drawing their monthly salary and pension as per pre-revised 6th Pay Commission.

As per an order, the employees and pensioners were earlier getting the DA at the rate of 221% of the Basic pay and now they will get it at the rate of 230% of the basic pay with effect from July 1, 2023.
It has been further ordered that the arrears on account of additional instalment of DA from July 2023 to May 2024 shall be paid in cash in the month of June 2024 and shall form part of the monthly salary from June 2024 onwards.
The payment on account of Dearness Allowance involving fraction of 50 paisa and above may be rounded to the next higher rupee and the fraction of less than 50 paisa shall be ignored, ordered the Government.
