DODA, July 13: A Government school building in Batt Mohallah Shuran in Sub district Gandoh Bhellessa is in shambles.
As per reports, the building of Government Primary School at Batt Mohallah Shuran in Sub District Gandoh Bhellessa is without roof for the last several months, which exposes the tall claims of the Government pertaining to development and due attention towards Education Department.
Around 71 students are pursuing their education in this school and have been left to suffer in all the weather conditions i.e summer, autumn, rainy and winter seasons.
Local residents Choudhary Lal Hussain and Liyaqat Ali said that the school building is without roof due to which students suffer a lot. “The matter was taken up with the concerned authorities several times, but nothing has been done till date”, they added.
They further stated that the students have been made to sit under open sky whether it is summer, rainy or winter season.
The locals urged the Deputy Commissioner Doda and higher officials in the Education Department to look into the matter and do the needful for the students, who are future of India.
When contacted Sub Divisional Magistrate Gandoh Arun Badyal told the EXCELSIOR that he has taken up the issue with the Zonal Education Officer Gandoh and hoped that the repair work of school building will start within month.
