UDHAMPUR, Sept 1: A Govt school at Kharorian village, having more than 100 children, is without water supply for the last one week.
Reports said the water supply to Govt Girls’ Middle School, Kharorian in Udhampur Zone, has been snapped for the last over one week. The children and school staff has been forced to fetch drinking water from a spring which is about 2 kms away. The School headmaster Rajesh Sharma alleged that he took up the matter with the PHE Supervisor and JE concerned Mr Maqsood but no action has been taken. The water supply could not be restored till today. He said that he was using his own car for fetching water in buckets along with students from the spring. The school water tank is lying dry and the toilets have turned dirty without water usage. He sought intervention of concerned SE and XEn PHE.
