JAMMU, Dec 14: Taking serious note of the private practice by Dr Aniece Choudhary, Principal Government Medical College, Jammu, Secretary Health Manoj Kumar Dwivedi has sought explanation of the former.
“Despite holding the charge of Principal GMC, you are continuing with private practice. This is very unfortunate and violation of standing Government orders and therefore you are directed to immediately stop the private practice of any kind and also explain your position in the matter,” says the order, issued today by Secretary Health and addressed to Dr Aniece Choudhary.
Talking to the Excelsior, Mr Dwivedi admitted that he has sought explanation of Dr Aniece Choudhary who was continuing with private practice despite Government orders against the same. “Government has already ordered a probe into the allegations of family members of the child who died waiting for surgery yesterday and if Dr Aniece Choudhary is found involved in private practice, strict action will be taken against him besides recovery of the non-practicing allowance he has claimed so far,” he added.
As reported by the Excelsior in yesterday’s edition, an infant died waiting for surgery by the ENT doctors for a foreign body in her throat for four days while family members of the deceased blamed Dr Aniece Choudhary, who had called them to his private clinic.
