Govt, semi-Govt institutions celebrate R-Day

JAMMU, Jan 27: Various Government organizations and institutions celebrated 71st Republic Day with patriotic zeal and enthusiasm amidst hoisting of National Flag and organizing colourful cultural events.
Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board celebrated Republic Day at the Shrine Board’s Sports Complex, where Ramesh Kumar, Chief Executive Officer of the Shrine Board, hoisted the tricolour and took salute. The students of various educational institutions presented a captivating cultural programme on this occasion. Ramesh Kumar gave away prizes to the students who were adjudged best in various activities.
As part of the Republic Day celebrations, CEO Ramesh Kumar also hoisted the tricolour at a function held at the Central Office of the Shrine Board at Katra. At Bhawan, the flag was hoisted by Naresh Kumar, SDM Bhawan, in the presence of CRPF, Police and Shrine Board staff.
Chander Mohan Gupta- Mayor JMC, Purnima Sharma -Dy Mayor JMC and Avny Lavasa – Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation hoisted the National Flag at Jammu Municipal Corporation on the occasion of 71st Republic Day.
On the occasion, Mayor and Dy Mayor stressed upon the JMC employees for fulfillment of their duties and responsibilities with dedication, hard work and sincerity for a bright and prosperous society. Among others, councillors of different wards and other staff from the Corporation were present on the occasion.
Republic Day was celebrated by Frontier Headquarter BSF Jammu and other BSF formations with full fervour and joviality. N S Jamwal, IG BSF, unfurled the National Flag at BSF stadium, Paloura in the presence of officers and Jawans. In the premises of BSF School Paloura Jammu, students of BSF School presented a cultural programme. While addressing the school children, Rajni Jamwal, President BWWA wished for the bright future of the children and to carry the flag of country high always.
In this series of events, NS Jamwal visited BSF hospital and distributed fruits and gifts to the patients. Republic day was also celebrated by the BSF personnel deployed on International Border and LOC with equal enthusiasm.
Police Academy Udhampur celebrated Republic Day with great fervour and enthusiasm. Director Police Academy Dr S D Singh Jamwal unfurled National Flag and l took the general salute of the parade contingents. Gathering of the staff of SKPA Udhampur, their family member’s, trainee officers and respectable citizens of Udhampur attended the function.
The Director, Police Academy stressed upon the trainees, Police officers/officials and gathering at the venue for strengthening brotherhood, fraternity and secular character of the constitution of India. He also interacted with the trainee officers and children at this occasion.
IRP-19th Battalion celebrated Republic Day with great pump and show at battalion Headquarter Changran Kathua. In the address at Battalion hqr Changran Kathua, S Randheer Singh, SSP Commandant IRP-19th Battalion, exhorted all the Police officers and officials to dedicate themselves to the maintenance of internal security, unity & integrity & development of Nation. During the function 45 officials of this unit were felicitated for their outstanding performance. Neetu Bali, Member PAWA; Ashok Kumar Chib, Dy,SP; Inspr Ranbeer Singh other staff members were present on the occasion.?
Republic Day was celebrated at PTTI Vijaypur with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. Ashok Kumar Sharma, Principal (SSP) PTTI Vijaypur hoisted the National Flag in presence of Hafiz Ullah Sheikh, Dy SP (R&D/Tech), Mukesh Kumar, Dy SP(Outdoor), Shamsher Singh Sambyal, Dy SP (Security) and others. Contingents of Police personnel/trainees held March Past. The Parade was led by SI Ajit Kumar (CDI) as Parade Commander and ASI Sulinder Singh as 2nd in Command. A colourful cultural programme was also organised by children of various Government Schools and staff of PTTI Vijaypur.
At PTS Kathua, Arun Gupta, Principal SPS PTS Kathua unfurled the National Flag. The officers of IRP-19th Bn, Civil administration, retired Police personnel, families of Police martyrs/Police personnel, prominent citizens of civil society, locals and children of Bal Ashram witnessed the Republic Day function.
During the function Parade contingents held impressive March Past. A colourful cultural programme was also organized in which trainees and staff members presented patriotic/folk songs and skit on anti drugs theme highlighting role of J&K Police. The vote of thanks was presented by S Tejinder Singh, Vice Principal (SSP) SPS PTS Kathua.
166 Bn, CRPF, celebrated Republic Day at it’s headquarter in Sidhra, Jammu. P C Gupta, Commandant, 166BN, CRPF unfurled the tricolor and read the names of recipients of medals. He mentioned about the selfless service and supreme sacrifice given by martyrs of the Force in the service of the nation. The Commandant reiterated the mission of the CRPF that is to assist the Government to maintain rule of law, public order and internal security effectively and efficiently and to preserve national integrity and promote social harmony and development by upholding supremacy of the Constitution..
To mark the 71st Republic day, flag hosting ceremony was organized at Indian Institute of Public Administration J&K, Regional Branch in association with Sahyog India. Flag hoisting was done by Simran, a specially abled child of SAHYOG in presence of Dr Ashok Bhan, Patron IIPA J&K Regional Branch and other members of IIPA.
The entire programme was organized under the guidance of Prof Alka Sharma, Hony Secretary IIPA J&K Regional Branch. Prominent persons present were, Dr Anil Gupta, P P Sharma, Madan Lal, K B Jandial, Lt Col (Retd) Karan Singh, Krishan Lal Gupta, Arun Kumar Sharma, Er S C Sharma, T N Mattoo and others.
On the occasion of Republic Day, the Additional Resident Commissioner (ARC), Jammu and Kashmir Government, Niraj Kumar unfurled the National Flag at Jammu and Kashmir House, 5-Prithvi Raj Road, New Delhi. A contingent of J&K Armed Police presented the guard of honour on the occasion. The ceremonial function was attended by all the officers of Jammu and Kashmir posted at New Delhi.
A colourful cultural Programme was presented on the occasion and a drawing competition was also held in which many children took part. Later, Additional Resident Commissioner interacted with the officers/officials of J&K House and gave away special gifts and commendation certificates to all the participants.
Department of Agriculture celebrated Republic Day at Krishi Bhawan, Jammu here InderJeet, Director Agriculture Jammu, hoisted the National Flag. The programme was organized by All J & K Agriculture Employees Association (JKAEA) and other staff members of the Directorate.
Congratulating the participants, Director Agriculture asked all officers and officials to take pledge to work with sincerity and dedication for the cause of nation building. O S Choudhary, Joint Director of Agriculture (Extension), Anil Nargotra, Joint Director of Agriculture (Inputs), Daisy Bhan, Joint Director SLUB, Uttam Chand Sharma, President All J & K Agriculture Employees Association (JKAEA) and others also spoke on the occasion.
Chenab Valley Power Projects Pvt Ltd (CVPPPL) celebrated the 71st Republic Day by organizing a function at its Corporate Office Jammu, which was presided over by Chairman of the company, Suresh Kumar, who unfurled the National Flag.
On this occasion, M S Babu, Managing Director CVPPPL sought cooperation of all including the local population and called the employees to maintain high level of integrity to create a special image of the company. Republic day celebrations were also held at Pakal Dul HE Project, Kiru HE Project and Kwar HE Project at Kishtwar.
POWERGRID Northern Region Transmission System -II celebrated Republic Day at Grid Bhawan, near Bahu Plaza, Jammu. Ashok Kumar, Sr GM, NRTS -II, unfurled the flag in the presence of senior officials, employees, their families and children.
Various events like fancy dress competition for children, patriotic songs by members of Srishti Mahila Samiti and children of the employees along with fun games for employees and their family members were organized to mark the occasion. The chief guest distributed prizes among the participants while vote of thanks was presented by Sanjay Kumar Verma, Sr Deputy General Manager (HR), Jammu.
Salal Power Station celebrated Republic Day t Ramlila Ground Jyotipuram wherein a large number of NHPC employees, CISF Personnel, their family members, school children and locals participated. Himanshu Shekhar, Chief General Manager, Salal Power Station hoisted the Tricolor.
On the occasion, all the office buildings and guests houses were lightened, giving a festive look to the Power Station. Cultural programs were presented by KV students and Playway School kids. The program concluded with prize distribution .
Republic Day was celebrated at Jammu Airport by Airports Authority India with participation of all the stakeholders’ Incharge airlines, Security and other agencies. Dr Pravat Ranjan Beuria, Airport Director, Jammu hoisted the National flag.
The celebration continued with performance of cultural programmes and distribution of prizes to winners of various competitions. The airport terminal was illuminated with colorful lights to mark the occasion.
Republic Day celebrations were held in SMGS Hospital Jammu where Principal & Dean GMC & AH, Dr Sunanda Raina unfurled the National Flag. Guard of Honour was presented to her by the Security Squad while patriotic songs were played. Medical Superintendent Dr Manoj Chalotra, Dy Med Suptd, Dr Rakesh Kumar Sharma, HODs and their faculty members, Residents, Registrars, CMOs, Matron & Nursing staff including Supervisors & Nurses, Other Paramedical Staff including Pharmacists & Storekeepers, Sanitary staff including Supervisors & Sanitary attendants attended the function.
Republic Day was celebrated by the Jawans of the Central Industrial Security Force, Company No.504 in the premises of Sanfort-HGVS Playway School, Kathua. On this occasion renowned social worker & Chairman of Himalayan Gram Vikas Society Brij Mohan Sharma was the chief guest, who also unfurled the National Flag. The students presented cultural program. Assistant Commandant of CISF Vijay Kumar, Inspector CISF G K Pathak and many others were present on the occasion.
Shashastra Seema Bal, 07 Bn Jammu and its Coys/Posts celebrated Republic Day by hoisting National Flag at Bn Headquarters. Commandant 07 Bn SSB also addressed the troops. Various cultural items and Bada Khan were organized on the occasion.
On the occasion of Republic Day, an impressive function was organised in the GRP Lines Katra where Ranjit Singh Sambyal, SSP GRP Katra, hoisted the National Flag. He appreciated the working of officials of GRP Katra and advised them to perform their duties with same dedication and devotion for the nation in general and for the Railway system in particular. SDPO Railways Katra/Udhampur, all SHOs , I/C PPs and other officers of GRP Katra, RPF Katra & Railway Officers, hoteliers, senior citizens participated in the function.
Republic Day was celebrated at Central Jail Jammu, Kotbhalwal where Senior Superintendent, central Jail, Dinesh Sharma hoisted the National Flag. A colourful programme was presented by the jail inmates, who displayed their talent in poetry, singing, dancing and cultural activities.
At District Jail Kathua, Superintendent Jail Mushtaq Ahmed Malla hoisted the National Flag. All the jail officers/officials and CRPF personnel of 121 Bn, F-Coy, were present on the occasion. A colourful cultural programme was presented by the jail inmates, CRPF personnel and Jail staff.
Aaykar Parivar Udhampur celebrated Republic Day at Income Tax Office, Udhampur where the National Flag was unfurled by Income Tax Officer, Durga Kaul. The function was attended by Rajeev Gupta, President Income Tax Bar Association along with its members, Ravi Malguria, President Chamber of Commerce and Jatinder Vermani, President Beopar Mandal. Besides them, prominent citizens and tax payers of Udhampur also attended the celebrations. A number of patriotic songs were played on the music system which enthralled the gathering. Small kids and children added grace on this occasion.
Republic Day function was organized in the school premises of HSS Panchari where the National flag was hoisted by Tehsildar Panchari Ram Pal Sharma in presence of officials and Heads of various departments/institutions. A contingent of police officials led by SHO Panchari Arun Koul, ZEO Panchari, Tara Nath; ZEPO Rajesh Sharma, Lecturer Rattan Lal, Jugal Kishore, Sarpanch Meer and others were present on the occasion. Cultural items were presented by the students.
