Govt to set up ‘Move Schools’ for wards of Durbar Move employees: Altaf

SRINAGAR, Sept 15: Minister for Education, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, today announced that the State Government will establish ‘Move Schools’ for children of Durbar Move employees.
The Minister said two schools will be established, one each in Srinagar and Jammu, where the children of Durbar Move employees can get admissions and study till Class 8th.
The Minister made this announcement during the meeting with the School Education Department which was attended by Secretary School Education, Farooq Ahmad Shah, Director School Education (Kashmir), Director School Education (Jammu), Project Directors of RMSA and SSA, President, Secretariat Employees and other concerned officials.
Bukhari said there was a long pending demand of Move Employees whose children’s education suffered due to the Durbar Move. The establishment of these schools is to secure the future of these children.
He also announced that the coaching centers will also be established for these students under CM’s Super 50 Coaching Program.
It was informed that National High School in Karan Nagar has been identified for Srinagar where Move School is likely to be established and for Jammu, the school will be identified soon.
On the occasion, Bukhari directed the concerned officials to compile the details of the students who can be covered under the program. The Minister asked them to finalize the detail of subjects to be taught in these schools soon.
