Srinagar, June 9: Govern-ment today admitted that it had spent more than Rs. 2 crore rupees but is yet to acquire land for a Regional Water Supply Scheme at Parihaspora in north Kashmir’s Pattan constituency.
In a written reply to a question of MLA Abid Hussain Ansari in Lower House, Minister Incharge PHE, I&FC Department, said the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for Regional Water Supply Scheme Parihaspora has been conceived under NRDWP.
“However, as an advance action department has initiated the process for procurement of pipe material/ mechanical items and RCC jacketing of existing service reservoir and utilized Rs. 206.56 lakhs”, the Minister stated.
The land measuring 32 Kanals at Kareva of Dever village is to be acquired for which case has been taken up with Collector Land Acquisition Baramulla and is under process, the Minister stated. The Minister further stated that once the process of land acquisition is finalised, construction on the main components of the scheme will be started immediately subject to the availability of funds and key construction material.
