Govt suspends Patwaris accused of accepting bribe

JAMMU, Aug 4: Financial Commissioner Revenue has ordered suspension of two Patwaris, who are accused of accepting bribe.
As per an order, Ravinder Bhagat, the then Patwari of Patwar Halqa Akhnoor Khas, District Jammu, presently posted as OQ in the office of Tehsildar Basohli, district Kathua, has been placed under suspension in terms of Rule 31 of J&K Civil Services (CC&A) Rules 1956.
He shall remain attached in the office of the Dy Commissioner, Kathua during the period of his suspension.
According to a separate order, Arish Parvez, Patwari of Patwar Halqa Kattal Battal, Tehsil Nagrota, District Jammu, has also been placed under suspension in terms of Rule 31 of J&K Civil Services (CC&A) Rules 1956. He shall remain attached in the office of the sub-Divisional Magistrate, Chowki-Choura during the period of suspension.
Meanwhile, Patwari Nazir Ahmad Malik, who is already under suspension in a corruption case, has been attached in the office of the Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, till further orders. He was earlier posted in the Zaildar office, Hajin, Irrigation and Flood Control, Division Sumbal.
