KATHUA, Apr 4: Reiterating coalition Government’s commitment to provide better civic amenities to the people, BJP MLA Kathua, Rajiv Jasrotia has said that massive development activities have been launched across the State to ensure safe drinking water, better sewerage, lanes and drains and hygienic surroundings in every nook and corner of the State.
This was stated by the MLA while interacting with the people after laying foundation of various development works including inauguration of Road at Village Mirpur Jaggoat the cost of 22 lakh, development works in Kharote Temple at 3.00 lakh, inaugurated Panchayat Ghar at Village Chambe-De-Baag at Rs 25 lakh along with City Mandal Pardhan Vidya Sagar, Andar Mandal Pardhan Narinder Kala, Jagdish Poonia, Sanjeev Verma, Dr. Kewel, Shoba, Gupta, Riya .
Speaking on the occasion, MLA said with the starting of these works, the long pending demand of the people has been redressed, adding that necessary instructions have been given to the concerned engineers to complete the works within stipulated time frame. He asked the people to personally monitor the quality of ongoing development works in their respective areas adding that need for public involvement in the developmental activities and said that without their cooperation the objective of the Government of taking State’s development tempo to new heights cannot be achieved. MLA said an effective monitoring mechanism has been put in place to enforce accountability and transparency in the implementation of developmental schemes.
He said coalition Government has introduced various reformative measures to extend improved basic amenities to the people of the State especially those living in rural and far-flung areas.
Jasrotia called upon the people to cooperate with executing agencies in completing the development works well in time adding that Government during the last two years has taken several measures to usher the State towards the goal of peace, progress and prosperity.MLA said that he was well conversant with the problems of the people of these areas and efforts are being made to fulfil their genuine demands. He said that our State is witnessing fast track development in different sectors and various schemes for the welfare of general public are being launched in a phased manner for the overall development. He said that it is the endeavour of the coalition government to provide all basic facilities to the people at their doorsteps.
