JAMMU, Feb 12: A Government teacher allegedly attempted suicide in Gorkha Nagar area here.
As per police sources, a teacher namely Zameel, son of Naseer Ahmed of Ustad Mohalla District Jammu allegedly tried to end his life by consuming some poisonous substances at Government Girls Middle School Gorkha Nagar, his place of posting.
He took this extreme step for not getting his pending salary and was reeling under acute financial crises.
He was immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu, where his condition was stated to be stable when last reports came in.
In this regard, cognizance has been taken by Bagh-e-Bahu Police.
