REASI, Nov 7: A Government teacher and his minor daughter among four persons were killed while two others sustained critical injuries in a tragic road accident at Mahore, here this morning.
While three persons died on the spot, another succumbed to his injuries on way to hospital. The other two injured with serious wounds, were rushed to District Hospital Reasi and their condition was stated to be stable.

The accident took place this morning around 8 am at Tilkhati Morh, near Ganjote, under the jurisdiction of Police Station Mahore, when the Bolero vehicle (registration number JK20C- 7280) rolled down into deep gorge resulting into on the spot death of three persons and critical injuries to three others.
Locals and Police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured persons to nearby hospital. After first-aid, they were referred to District Hospital Reasi. However, one of them succumbed to his injuries on way to Reasi, thus raising the death toll to four.
The deceased were identified as 40-year old Manzoor Ahmed (a Government Teacher), son of Abdul Rashid Malik, resident of Dewal; his 10-year old daughter Ulfat Jana; Bashir Ahmed (28), son of Ghulam Mohd, resident of Dewal and Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din (42), son of Ghulam Mohd, resident of Ladh. While Manzoor Ahmed, Ulfan and Bashir Ahmed died on the spot, Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din succumbed to injuries on way to hospital.
The injured, identified as Shabir Ahmed, age 36, son of Abdullah Nag, resident of Dewal and Irtika, daughter of deceased Manzoor Ahmed, resident of Dewal, were undergoing treatment at District Hospital Reasi and till last reports came in, their condition was stated to be stable.
Reports said that driver of the vehicle could not negotiate a sharp curve on the hilly road and lost control over the wheels. The vehicle plunged into gorge and somersaulted several times before hitting boulders on ground. As the vehicle was completely damaged in the accident, Police and locals had to face tough time in evacuating injured persons.
