Govt teacher suspended for posting blasphemous content on social media

RAMBAN, June 24: A Government teacher was booked and suspended accordingly for posting blasphemous content on social media.
As per police sources, a written complaint was lodged by Ashish Sharma, District President VHP Ramban at Police Station Ramsoo stating that a Government teacher identified as Om Raj, son of Panchi Ram of Kumait Tehsil Rajgarh has posted some blasphemous content on social media.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 87/2020 under section 153-A and 295-A IPC was registered at Police Station Ramsoo and investigation started.
Meanwhile, Chief Education Officer Ramban has ordered suspension of Om Raj, teacher Government High School Soomber for posting blasphemous content on social media. During the suspension, the teacher will remain attached in the office of Zonal Education Officer Batote.
Principal Government HSS Batote and Headmaster Government High School Jhatgalli will conduct an in-depth enquiry into the matter and submit the report to CEO Office within three days positively for initiating further appropriate action in the matter.
They have further been directed to also look into the work and conduct of Joginder Singh, Teacher GHSS Rajgarh, who has also been alleged for posting objectionable content.
