Govt to deal with heroin smugglers sternly: Agnihotri

UNA (Himachal Pradesh), Feb 21: Himachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri on Tuesday said stern action will be taken against heroin smugglers so that the youth of the state can be saved from drug abuse.
He said instructions have been issued to the police force to coordinate with its counterparts in neighbouring states to tackle the menace of ‘chitta’, which includes heroin.
Agnihotri was speaking after inaugurating and laying foundation stones of various development projects worth Rs 22.50 crore in the Haroli assembly constituency.
Addressing a gathering at Pubowal, he said the Beet irrigation scheme will start soon and water will be supplied to every farm in the Haroli area.
The Deputy Chief Minister said the Government will speed up the development work and fulfill the promises made to the people. (PTI)
