Govt to develop recreational parks: Bhalla

Minister for Revenue, Raman Bhalla inaugurating a developmental work on Firday

JAMMU, Apr 27 : Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Raman Bhalla today said that Government has prepared a comprehensive plan to add to the beauty of open spaces in the localities by developing recreational parks.
This was stated by the Minister while interacting with the people after kick starting upgradation works of lanes and drains at Kanthu Colony in Trikuta Nagar Extn., here today.
Mr. Bhalla said Government has earmarked Rs. 18 lakh for modernization of Main Market Trikuta Nagar by providing modern pathways, fixation of paver tiles, blacktopping and installation of water cooler and ornamental lights. He said with the dedication of the facilities, the area will not only provide the shopkeepers a healthy atmosphere but also give good impact to people who will visit the area. He called upon the shopkeepers to make the area hygienic and pollution free.
For improving the drinking water facilities in Trikuta Nagar, the Minister said Government has earmarked Rs. 187.32 lakh for digging of 15000 gallon discharge capacity deep drill tube well in the area under water Supply Scheme Khadwala, Nanak Nagar.
At Trikuta Nagar, Sector-9, Mr. Bhalla kick started modernization works of internal links, for which, he announced Rs. 40 lakh. He asked the executing agency to complete the project well in time for the convenience of general masses.
Later, the Minister also inaugurated Himayat Training Centre DB-Tech at St. Thomas Church Sector-4, Trikuta Nagar Extn.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Bhalla called upon the unemployed youth to avail the benefits of courses being provided by the Himayat Training Centre. He highlighted the role of private sector in boosting industrialization in the State, adding that self ventures are the only solution for meeting the challenge of unemployment.
