JAMMU, Nov 13: DDC Chairman Jammu, Bharat Bhushan Bodhi today asserted that Government is giving equal focus to development needs of rural as well as urban hamlets with no discrimination whatsoever.
The DDC Chairman said this after launching blacktopping work of internal roads of Kalyanpur village in Jammu at an estimated cost of Rs 35 lakh. Besides, the DDC Chairman also started blacktopping of Amb Marjali road to Marjali Pon with an estimated cost of Rs 25 lakh.
Bharat Bhushan said that the Central dispensation led by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi is committed to overall development of the UT of J&K by giving equal stress on both rural as well as urban areas. He also lauded LG Manoj Sinha for satiating development needs of the people of the UT with utmost efficiency as the areas which saw neglect of the successive Governments in the erstwhile State of J&K are now on the priority list of the administration with every nook and corner getting the much desired focus of the people sitting at the helm.
The DDC Chairman said that edifice in rural areas has seen the much needed fillip during the LG’s administration with Pacca roads, electrification of villages and tapped water becoming the talk of the town and people getting facilities at their doorsteps without any hitch or hindrances. He assured the pace of development will continue in Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory under the leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and Lt Governor Manoj Sinha.
DDC member Surinder Kumar, BDC chairpersons Balbir Kumar and Kuldeep Raj, Sarpanchs Mulkh Raj, Dhantar Singh, Prem Singh, Devinder Singh, Rajani Singh and Sarpanch Jaswant Singh; Panchs Bua Ditta, Rayar Singh and Surinder Singh and former Sarpanchs Jagdish Singh and Capt (retd) Omkar Singh were also present.
