JAMMU, Jan 12: The two-day Global Hindu Thought Leaders’ Conference which was held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi concluded here today. The International conference was organised by Global Hindu Federation, UK and World Hindu Federation, Nepal jointly.
The chief guest in the conference was Prahlad Singh Patel, Union Minister for Tourism and Culture. The BJP Delhi State president and MP Manoj Tiwari was the guest of honour while Ravinder Kishore Sinha MP Rajya Sabha was the special invitee in the function. Among the prominent figures who spoke in the conference included Pardip Kukreja, Chairman, GHF, Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, chairman, organising chairman of Kashmir Conference, Satish Sharma, president, GHF-UK, Dr. Rajat Mitra, famous psychologist-writer and human rights defender and Sardar Ravi Ranjan Singh, prominent social activist.
The conference besides adopting Delhi Declaration and Memorandum of Unity also formulated the details of Kashmir Conference of Global Hindu Thought leaders scheduled to be held this year in August at Srinagar, Kashmir. Those who were honoured in the Conference included Utpal Kaul, a senior socio-political activist on Kashmir.
Prahlad Singh Patel in his address stressed upon the need of strengthening the concept of Hindutva with emphasis on positive aspects of social, cultural and political life. He said that Hindu way of life, culture, civilisation, religion and tradition are the basis of human divinity that has a great future for whole of the humanity. He referred to PM Modi’s efforts to bring into focus the traditional legacy of India at an international level. The Government would do everything possible to protect and promote the age old civilization, culture and art of India which has spiritual significance for our generations to come.
Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo said the bold decision of Government will pave way for resettlement of Pandits in Valley and presented seven point agenda in this regard.
It demanded all those Hindus-Sikhs of Kashmir who were forced to leave the Kashmir Valley in the past 700 years due to religious persecution, division of J and K in 1947 and terrorism need to be resettled in Kashmir as the primary stakeholders of the Valley of Kashmir.
Besides, all such seven hundred thousand people may be resettled at one place in the valley keeping in view their geo-political and fundamental aspirations.
In order to secure the political rights of the Hindu-Sikh communities in the valley, the delimitation process need to reserve five seats in the Assembly of the UT of J&K for them.
A “Special Crimes Tribunal” be established to enquire into the excesses, genocide and ethnic cleansing committed against the Hindu-Sikh minorities of Kashmir, Passage of Hindu Shrines and Temples Bill, filling up of remaining posts under PM package and
the over-aged youth of the community, be granted ‘one-time compensation.
