Srinagar, June 16: Government was today urged to furnish ‘appropriate’ replies to the questions of legislators in Legislative Council.
Member of Legislative Council (MLC) Ghulam Nabi Monga of Opposition Congress party told Chairman Haji Anayat Ali to direct the Government to furnish what he said appropriate replies to the questions.
“Please direct the Government to furnish appropriate and satisfactory replies to our questions. I am speaking on behalf of all my colleagues (pointing towards Opposition and Treasury benches),” said Monga. The Chairman later urged the Government to look into the matter.
During the ongoing session, the members of both Opposition and ruling parties on several occasions lambasted the Government and department officials for ‘unsatisfactory and wrong’ answers to their questions.
