JAMMU, Dec 4: Jammu Private Schools & ETT Institutes Association (Progressive) has appealed the Government to consider the suggestions given by public, stakeholders and experts over the proposed “Right to Free & Compulsory Education Act”.
Some provisions of the drafted Act are quite debatable in the best interests of its spirit and comments were dully conveyed well in time from different quarters including the Association but a nil response is being noticed as on date creating a doubt over the intentions of the persons at the helm of affairs, Association said.
Ruling politicians seem in hurry to implement the policy in view of coming general elections without debate, the Association further alleged and opined that such hasty action would be problematic.
It is the time to involve the masses at large in shape of debates and seminars with participation of civil society, media and stakeholders while going for reforms everywhere, Association stressed and appealed the Chief Minister as well as Governor  to create an atmosphere of cooperation in the best interest of State.
