JAMMU, Oct 26: Provincial president of National Conference (NC) has castigated the Government for wasting crores of rupees from the tax-payers’ money on the much hyped ‘Back to Village Programme’ running presently in Phase-4. He said that all the previous three phases and the ongoing phase have miserably failed to produce any substantial result.
In a statement issued here today, the NC provincial president Jammu Rattan Lal Gupta said that no outcome of the so called outreach programme is visible on ground despite the tall claims made by the Bharatiya Janata Party Government at the Centre and the Union Territory Administration.
Terming the B2V programme a total failure, the senior NC leader said that even amounts sanctioned for central sponsored schemes during the first three phases have not been fully utilized more than 50 per cent due to poor monitoring mechanism. He asserted that the programme has turned out to be a total eye wash by the Government to befool the people.
“Moreover, the Administration has failed to resolve the burning issues of youth, farmers, daily wagers and others raised and registered during the first three phases,” he lamented. He urged the Administration to first review the result or outcome of the earlier three phases and then proceed further with the so called mega outreach programme.
The senior NC leader asserted that it is really an irony that not even 50 per cent of the last Capex Budget has been utilized till date which reflects Government’s miserable failure on all fronts leaving the people of this Union Territory to fend for themselves. He said that the present regime has miserably failed to stand on the aspirations of the people of J&K.
