Govt ZSDC Reasi organizes debate

REASI, Oct 31: Govt Zorawar Singh Degree College, Reasi organized a debate in collaboration with NHPC Ltd. Salal Power Station Jyotipuram, Reasi on the occasion of observance of Vigilance Awareness Week, here.
The topic of the debate was “How youth can participate in the fight against corruption.”
The chief guest on the occasion was Dr. Hemla  Aggarwal, Principal GZSDC Reasi.
Among the jury members were Varinder Kumar, Manager Civil NHPC, Kuldeep Sharma, Hindi Officer, NHPC and Dr. Prem  Singh, HoD Political Science.
The programme was started with the lighting of the lamp followed by Saraswati Vandana. Guests were formally welcomed by Prof. Tania Akhtar, HoD English.
15 students participated in the debate and expressed their views on the said topic.
The chief guest in her address said, it seems very difficult to control corruption but it is not impossible, adding that it is not only the responsibility of the Government but responsibility of the people also.
He said we can eliminate corruption if there will be joint effort.
The first, second and third position was bagged by  Aditi, BSc. III Semester, Indrakshi Sharma of III Semester and Vidutma of BSc Part-III respectively.
The programme ended with the vote of thanks delivered by Sakshi Sharma of English Department.
