Govt’s agri-friendly schemes empowers farmers: Johal

JAMMU, Feb 10: The Modi Government has done more work in eight years of its rule for making farmers self-reliant than was accomplished ever before and its agriculture-friendly schemes have become the real power of farmers.
This was stated by Sarabjit Singh Johal, president BJP Kissan Morcha, J&K and DDC Member while speaking at the programme in Bantalab area, here today.
Johal asserted that the Central Government headed by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has done more work in the last eight years than ever before for empowering farmers and making them self-reliant. He said the Government at the Centre stands fully committed to the welfare of the farmers who deserve special attention especially in view of their being the food producers of the nation.
He said the Government is making every effort to double the farmers’ income and boost the agriculture economy.
Today, Sarabjit Singh Johal along with his entire Kisan Morcha team visited Maa Chandi Temple in Rajinder Nagar, Bantalab area and prayed for the peace and prosperity of the Union Territory.
General Secretary of BJP Kisan Morcha Rakesh Pant, vice president Kisan Morcha Baba Chanchal Singh, Mandal president Vijaypur Ajay Sharma and Parveen Sharma were also present during the event.
Johal said, “Since the BJP led Government came into power, it has been taking all necessary initiatives to boost and bolster the agricultural economy along with farmers’ welfare schemes.”
He mentioned that the schemes and initiatives by the Government like Kissan Sammaan Nidhi, Kissan Credit Card, Kissan Fasal Bima, Soil Health Card, Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY), National Agriculture Market (e-NAM), SVAMITVA Yojana, and many more such schemes have been providing benefits to all the farmers of the nation.
Johal asked the Kissan Morcha leaders and workers to establish a strong connection with the farmers’ community and ensure that they avail the benefits of the aforesaid schemes.
