*Support Cong in Assembly polls: Hari Singh

JAMMU, July 15: The government at the Centre has attained expertise in making big claims but on ground its performance is dismal with people suffering on all counts as civic edifice, healthcare, education, employment, tourism, businesses are all passing through an abysmal phase.
This was stated by Uday Bhanu Chib, general secretary of Indian Youth Congress while addressing a public meeting in Jammu North Assembly segment here today. Hari Singh Chib, JKPCC vice president was also present.
Addressing the gathering, Uday Chib said that the people of the country have made a big mistake by voting to power the BJP and the need of the time is to root it out as soon as possible to ensure good governance in the country. He said that BJP cannot offer anything except big hollow promises like bringing back black money, eradicating corruption, teaching a lesson to China and Pakistan etc.
Uday said that the people of J&K are fed-up of series of lies and false promises made by the BJP leadership in the Union Territory. He asserted that the people of the country are struggling with rising inflation and the youths are finding it difficult to get jobs. The Prime Minister is not even talking about the problems being faced by farmers and workers, he added.
Hari Singh Chib said that the present government of Jammu and Kashmir has miserably failed to ensure delivery of basic amenities like availability of ration, frequent supply of power and water. He termed it unfortunate that people were being subjected to immense suffering for want of basic amenities like power and water in absence of popular government in Jammu and Kashmir.
He criticised Central Government for giving more powers like Delhi LG to Manoj Sinha thus weakening democracy in J&K. He said that due to lack of vision and wrong policies of the government, people of J&K are facing crisis. Chib asked people of Jammu North constituency to get united and support Congress in the ensuing Assembly polls in Jammu and Kashmir.
Senior party leaders Som Nath Sharma, Parshotam Singh, Bishamber Dass, Romesh Singh, Ghar Singh, Hans Raj Hans, Rajinder Kumar and others were present.
