GPA elects new president

SRINAGAR, Oct 5: Mir Aftab was elected as the president of the Ganderbal Press Association (GPA) today during its General Body elections, which took place at the auditorium of Government Degree College Ganderbal in Central Kashmir.
A spokesperson for the association said that the election process, characterised by transparency and fairness, was conducted via secret ballot, and was closely monitored by the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADDC) of Ganderbal and the Principal of Government Degree College, Fozia.
In addition to Mir Aftab, he said, several other key positions within the association were filled during these elections. He said GH Nabi Raina was elected as the vice president, Saleem Wani as the general secretary, Raja Syed Rather as the treasurer, and Hadi Hidayat was nominated as the Spokesperson of the Association.
