JAMMU, Feb 21: In order to ensure that he doesn’t escape from the clutches of the law, police in Bahu Fort area today released an accused on bail by installing a GPS tracker on his feet.
Shakir Ahmed Naikoo son of Mohammad Shafi Naikoo of Harpura, Durapora, Tehsil Zainapora, Shopian was arrested in case FIR number 56/2022 under sections 18, 20, 23, 38, 39 UAPA Act and 3, 4, 5 ESA registered at Police Station Bahu Fort.
Today, he was released on the interim bail by the Police by installing GPS tracker on his feet.
“This was done to ensure that the accused doesn’t escapes from the clutches of law while on bail,” a police officer said.
