Graduate Engineers Association seeks action against ASI, others

JAMMU, May 7: All J&K Graduate Engineers Association (GEA) held a meeting under the chairmanship of its State general secretary Gandeep Pargal.
In the meeting, the physical assault on Junior Engineer, R&B Manohar Singh when he was performing his official duties was condemned.
While speaking, Pargal said that the Association has taken the matter with SE, R&B, Jammu-Kathua Range and termed it as a matter of grave concern over hurling abuses and manhandling of the Government officer while on duty by ASI Ashiq Ali of Satwari police station.
“The officer was threatened of dire consequences by the local goons in police station, which clearly speaks the volume of the ASI’s connivance with the goons”, Pargal stated.
The Association demanded immediate suspension of the ASI and culprits, he said, adding that SE took the matter with the Police Department and demanded full security to the engineers while on duty.
