KATHUA, May 8: One person died while he was crossing the road at Barwal village near here this evening after hit by an unknown vehicle.
He has been identified as Uttam Chand, 53, son of Raj Kishore of village Barwal. Uttam Chand a Gram Sevak was returning to his home after the duty this evening when he was hit by an unknown vehicle.
He was rushed to District Hospital Kathua by the people and police where the doctors declared him as brought dead.
The Kathua police has taken the cognizance of the same and the dead body will be handed over to the family after postmortem tomorrow.
