RAJOURI, Apr 12: Micro Finance & Financial Inclusion Department of J&K Grameen Bank is conducting a State wide campaign regarding social security schemes including PMSBY & PMJJBY wherein the people are insured at a nominal premium of Rs 12 and Rs 330 respectively.
Most of the beneficiaries belong to unorganized sector, including factory workers, hawkers and rural agricultural labour etc. After a span of more than one year, 100 percent claim settlement rate is maintained by the bank and the nominee of the insured person gets a financial aid of Rs 2 lakh
In this connection, J&K Grameen Bank organized a programme in which R K Narang, Regional Manager Rajouri & Poonch was the chief guest, the lump sum amount of Rs 2 lakh regarding PMJJBY claim was handed over to the nominee of the insurer, Jeet Kumar by Sarpanch Pushav Kumar of the area.
Speaking on the occasion, Vipan Gupta, Sr Manager, MF&FI Department, informed about the benefits of social security schemes namely (PMJJBY) Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, (PMSBY) Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and (APY) Atal Pension Yojana. The main focus was on APY enrolments. At present bank is touching 8000 APY enrolments. People are also enrolling under GoI insurance schemes like PMJJBY & PMSBY. At present bank is touching 22000 enrolments in PMJJBY and 42000 in PMSBY. At present, the claim settlement rate in the bank is 100 percent.
Om Parkash Sharma, Ex-Lecturer, Darshan Lal Raina, Ex-Subedar and Raghunath Sharma, Ex-Headmaster, also made people aware regarding use of social security schemes of GoI and the schemes of the bank. They described the problems faced by the general public due to the unawareness of the availability of simple digital and cashless transaction methods.
Prem Chand Bhagat, Branch Head Channi Prat, aware people about the various lending schemes tailored by the Grameen Bank for general public on easy EMIs i.e. Housing Loan, Transport Loan, Car Loan, Education Loan, etc, where rate of interest charged by the bank is very competitive, RuPay debit cards were also distributed to the customers.
