JAMMU, Nov 3: Financial Inclusion and Insurance Department under the guidance of Sanjay Gupta, Chairman J&K Grameen Bank in collaboration with RBI organized awareness programmes to aware the general public about various banking facilities, frauds and grievances redressal system of the Bank and RBI. The participants of the programme were RBI officials, JKGB Officials, General Public and local PRI members.
Rohit Kashyap, LDO, RBI and Suhai Anwar Ansari, Manager, RBI also participated in one of the programmes organized at village Gajansu and made the participants aware about various banking services, frauds and other grievances redressal systems.
They talked about Government Social Security Schemes and Banking Ombudsmen for redressing complaints.
Sunil Choudhary, Head of Financial Inclusion & Insurance Department, J&K Grameen Bank also participated in the programme and highlighted that these programmes are conducted in collaboration with RBI under theme ‘Main Bi Jagruk’ a ‘Nationwide Intensive Awareness Programme’ launched by RBI.
He further informed the participants about different schemes of the bank along with grievances redressal mechanism.
Sarpanches & Panches of the villages were also present on the occasion. The claims under Govt Social Security Schemes of Rs. 02 lakh were handed over to the nominees of the claimants.
Branch Heads of the respective Branches emphasized on various facilities of the Bank and requested all the participants to visit the Bank branches to avail any type of banking services or immediate redressal of grievances.
