JAMMU, Jan 11: J&K Grameen Bank (JKGB), Sarore in district Samba provided loan worth Rs 85 lakh to the 79 beneficiaries of the area under KCC scheme.
The Bank, continuing its drive for up-liftment of the rural masses and implementation of Govt policies, organised Credit Camp, exclusively for disbursement of Kissan Credit Camp loans at Sarore village. GM Sadiq, General Manager of the Bank who was chief guest inaugurated the camp. The people were made aware about the financial literacy programme.
While speaking on the occasion, Mr Sadiq highlighted the initiatives taken by the Bank in the diversified activities including setting up of economic units and the over all development of the rural people through institutional credit. M S Bhau, Area Manager also highlighted the policies and programmes of the J&K Grameen Bank for facilitating Financial inclusion programme.
Earlier, V K Sharma, Senior Manager, Microfinance & Financial inclusion, J&K Grameen Bank apprised the large gathering of people about the various lending schemes of the bank for providing credit to agriculturists, business community, transporters etc. An amount of Rs 85 lakh was disbursed among 79 beneficiaries by the GM on the spot. Branch Head R P Sharma and several Sarpanchs and Panchs of the area were also present besides large number of farmers.
