POONCH, July 7: Annual grand ‘Gurmat Samagam’ concluded at Gurdwara Yaadgar Bhai Bahadur Singh ji Dharmsal Kharri in Poonch here today.
This year various programmes were held for more than 42 days in connection with the Gurmat Samagam in which Sikh Missionary College, All India Sikh Students Federation, children and youth besides women were part of the programme. In the final programme a large number of devotees participated .
The programme was totally spiritual with Shabad Keertan, Shabad Vichaar regarding Sikh philosophy and teachings of Guru Granth Sahib Ji .This year Samagam was presented to 550 Parkash Celebration of Guru Nanak Dev ji.
Special invitee Raagi Jatha of Bhai Balvinder Singh Lopoke Hazoori Raagi Sachkhand Shri Darbar Sahib Amritsar recited the Gurbani Keertan and Giani Baldev Singh Parchark Paonta Sahib addressed the Sangat with teachings of Guru Granth Sahib ji and Sikh history & philosophy. Local Raagi Jathas and preachers also recited Gurbani Keertan.
Harcharn Singh Khalsa on behalf of management and Sikh Community submitted memorandum to the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir with demands of community. While speaking he said that Sikhs are facing step motherly treatment in every field. He said youth are neglected by reason best known to Government and demanded due share for community in each field.
Manmohan Singh Missionary Poonch also spoke on the occasion on Sikh philosophy and history of Guru Nanak and urged the Sangat to follow the path of religion for welfare of self and humanity as well.
Deputy Commissioner Poonch Rahul Yadav, also spoke on occasion and stress to follow Universal Guru and guide Guru Nanak’s Philosophy and to save humanity from evils.
Commander 93 Inf Bdg, Brig Munish Gupta, Commander 10 Inf Bdg KTH Krishnan, CO 15 Maratha Lt Col ASH 3/3 GR with other army officers participated in the Samagam. Gurdev Singh, from Akali Dal Maan, Ch Ghani, Advo Mohd Zaman , Taj Mir also participated in programme.
Charanjeet Singh Khalsa MLC also spoke on occasion and stressed to follow Guru Granth Sahib. Ajaz Jan former MLA, Ravinder Singh Missionary, Raagi Manmeet Singh, Raagi Mohan Singh, Pawandeep Singh recited Gurbani keertan.
