JAMMU, Dec 24:  A yet another grand `Nagar- Kirtan’  was taken out by the members of Sikh community from RS Pura, Simbal Camp and Gadi Garh areas to Jammu  under the banner of   Jammu Kashmir State Gurdwara Parbandhak Board and DGPC Jammu in connection with the  350 th Prakash Utsav of Guru Gobind Singh Ji  here today.
The  ‘Nagar-Kirtan’ started from RS Pura and covering Simbal Camp, Gadi Garh areas and culminated at Gurudwara Baba Fateh Singh Ji, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu. A  large number of Sikh community members and other devotees accompanied  the Nagar Kirtan with great  religious  enthusiasm  and gaiety, raising religious slogans.  The preachers threw light on the life and achievements of Guru Gobind Singh Ji.
TS Wazir, Chairman  State Gurudwara Parbandhak Board, Jajgeet Singh Jaga president DGPC Jammu, Harjinder Singh Raina  senior  Sikh leader and member DGPC, Avtar Singh Khalsa, general secretary DGPC Jammu, Kuldeep Singh vice president DGPC Jammu, Mohinder Singh president Shriomani Akali Dal Badal & Member DGPC Jammu, Surjeet Singh  former  secretary DGPC Jammu,  Narinder Singh Khalsa, Manjeet Singh former  Secretary DGPC,  Mohinder Singh joint secretary DGPC Jammu, Manmohan Singh treasurer DGPC Jammu,  Ranjodh Singh Nalwa, Harmeet Singh,  Satpal Singh, Manjeet Singh & others accompanied the Nagar Kirtan.
A large number of locals and devotees received the Nagar Kirtan at Gurudwara Baba Fateh Singh Ji Gandhi Nagar Jammu where Gurmat Samagam was organized by SGPC and DGPC Jammu, in which Hazoori Ragi  of Sri Darbar Sahib Bhai Sukhjeet Singh  and other local Jathas recited the Gurbani. Prominent Sikh preacher Bhai Sartaj Singh  Warsava of Jammu and Dhaddi Jatha of Bhai Kharak Singh of Punjab threw light on the life and achievement of Guru Gobind Singh Ji for Khalsa Panth.
Wazir expressed gratitude  to the gathering and said that while commemorating this historical occasion, we have organized different Nagar Kirtans from various districts of Jammu province to spread the message of Guru Gobind Singh Ji for protection of righteousness and to unite the Sikh community of the State.  He disclosed that traditional Nagar Kirtan devoted to Parkash Purab of Guru Gobind Singh Ji will be organized on January 2, 2017 followed by Gurmat Samagam on the eve of Prakash Purab on January 5 at Gurdwara Guru Nanak Sahib, Chand Nagar, Jammu.
A seminar is being organized on December 26, at Zorawar Auditorium, University of Jammu in which prominent Sikh scholars will threw light on life and teachings of Guru Gobind Singh Ji.
