Grand Shiva temple be to inaugurated in Estonia

NEW DELHI, June 7 : A grand Shiva temple is set to be inaugurated on June 10 in Lilleoru, a city near Tallinn, the capital of Estonia.

Ingvar Villido Acharya Ishwarananda, founder of the Shiva Temple, teacher of kriya yoga, and founder of the Kriya Yoga Center in Lilleoru, has been instrumental in realizing this project.

“The Shiva temple symbolizes our dedication to the eternal teachings of Sanatana Dharma, following the footsteps of the great Rishis and Siddhas. We have been honored to build the temple according to the Aagama Silpa Saasthra Rules,” said Ishwarananda, a press statement from the Estonian Embassy in New Delhi.

The temple, meticulously constructed following the ancient Indian architectural principles of Aagama Silpa Saasthra, was designed by Shilpa Ratna Sthabadhi Dhanabal Mayilvel and Manivel Mayilvel from the Shri Thenkani Traditional Architecture Hindu Temple Construction & Sculpture Group in Tamil Nadu, India.

The consecration ceremony, Maha Kumbhabhishekam, will be conducted by Shrila Shri S. Boopathi Shivacharya Swamigal, a 32nd generation high priest from India, and priest Venkatesh Jayaram from Tamil Nadu, India.

The temple houses numerous sacred statues such as of Lord Shri Karpaga Nadhar, Mother Brahand Nayagi, Shri Ganapathy, Shri Bala Murugar, Saptha Rishis, Navanaths, 18 Siddhas, Navagrahas and others.

The week-long consecration process started on June 4 and will conclude on June 13, with the main event on June 10. The ceremonies, which will include traditional rituals, prayers, and cultural festivities, are expected to draw hundreds of guests from India and Europe.

The establishment of the Shiva temple is not just an architectural marvel but also a beacon of spiritual guidance and a center for ethical living and ultimate liberation according to the Sanatana Dharma tradition, the statement said.

The consecration ceremony will also be broadcast globally via Facebook Live.

The event will include Bharatanatyam performances by students from Dance Studios Duende and Amrita, and a panel discussion on spirituality in today’s society and world.

Discussion with notable speakers including Ambassador of India to Estonia Ajaneesh Kumar, Shiva Europe Forum Executive Director Swami Bhairavananda Saraswati, and Temple Founder Ingvar Villido Ishwarananda, Tibetan Yantra Yoga teacher Maaja Zelmin and pastor of the Estonian Evangelical Lutheran Church’s Risti congregation Annika Laats.

There will also be a concert featuring Indian temple dances and music. (UNI)
