JAMMU, May 4: A grand Shobha Yatra was taken out in the city of temples in connection with the Bhagwan Parshuram Jayanti celebrations here this evening.
The programme was organized by Dogra Brahaman Pratinidhi Sabha in association with several other organizations of Jammu. World renowned Saint, Hari Chaitnya Puri Ji Maharaj was the chief guest at today’s programme. He was accorded grand reception by the members of the Sabha and his followers on arriving at Parade Ground. He was mounted on a highly decorated open vehicle.
Impressive Shobha Yatra was taken out from Parade Ground at round 4.30 pm. Over a dozen tableaux of Bhagwan Parshuram, on the highly decorated vehicles/ trolleys were witnessed during the Jhanki. Shobh Yatra after passing through Moti Bazaar, Pacca Danga, Chowk Chabutra, Panjtirthi, Darbargarh, Jain Bazaar, Link Road, Purani Mandi, City Chowk, Kanak Mandi, Rajinder Bazaar, Veer Marg, Raghunath Bazaar and Shalamar, later concluded at Parade Ground. Special Pooja of Bhagwan Parsuram was performed before the beginning of Shoba Yatra.
A large number of people from all walks of life including women and children participated in the Shobha Yatra. They were raising slogans in the praise of Bhagwan Parshuram. Some people in the Jhanki were singing devotional songs.
Mayor JMC Chander Mohan Gupta, Dy Mayor Purinima Sharma, Ex-MLA East Rajesh Gupta, Priya Sethi Ex-Minister,Yudvir Sethi Senior BJP leader, several Councilors, V P Sharma president Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha, Verinder Mohan Magotra, PC Sharma, Chander Mohan Sharma, Convenor Tawi Andolan, Subhash Shastri, Romesh Sharma, Satpaul Sharma, Shanti saroop Baru, Gurdass Sharma, Shiv Ram Sharma, Davinder Sharma, KL Sharma, ML Sharma besides presidents Rajput Sabha and Bar Association and the heads of various other Sabhas and organisations also attended the programme.
Three days vishal Dharm Sammelan will start from tomarrow in the premises of the Brahman Sabha where world renowned Dharam Guru will deliver `Parbachan’. Sabha appealed the people of the state to take part in the samelan and seek blessing of Bhagwan Parsuram Ji.
