JAMMU, Feb 13: In connection with the celebration of Prakash Utsav of Guru Ravi Dass Ji Maharaj, a grand Shobha Yatra was taken in Jammu City by All J&K Guru Ravi Dass Sabha.
The Shobha Yatra was flagged off by president of the Sabha, Piran Ditta from Shri Ravi Dass Temple, Krishna Nagar, Jammu in the presence of prominent citizens and other office bearers of the Sabha. About one dozens vehicles including tractor-trolleys were converted into chariots and decorated with flowers and buntings. Tableaus of Guru Ravi Dass ji were mounted on the chariots.
Keeping in view of the ongoing Covid pandemic, limited number of devotees participated in the Shobha Yatra, which passed through main bazaars including Jewel Chowk, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk, Gumat, Vivekananda Chowk, Sundar Singh Road, Raghunath Bazaar, Indira Chowk and BC Road. The devotees including members from various units of the Sabha were following the Shobha Yatra. They were chanting slogans in praise of Guru Ravi Dass and doing Shabd- Kirtan.
The Shobha Yatra culminated at Guru Ravi Dass Temple, Krishna Nagar, Jammu, where Satsang was organized, followed by a mass Bhandara. Earlier in the morning, a large number of devotees from Jammu City and adjoining areas thronged the Temple of Shri Guru Ravi Dass Ji at Krishna Nagar, where spiritual sermons were delivered by the priest. He enlightened the gathering to shun the path of violence and bloodshed and lead a spiritual life devoted to God.
Prominent among those participated in the religious procession were Raj Kumar Raja, Dr Rajpal Hans, Mulkh Raj and Deepak Bangotra.
