Ground level workers deserve credit: Nirmal

JAMMU, Oct 23: BJP today celebrated its victory in Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) Leh elections at Party Headquarters, Dogra Chowk here and Leh town.
Soon after the results were announced the drum beating BJP activists celebrated the party’s victory in Leh town and other areas of the district. They distributed sweets and greeted each other.
A grand victory procession was taken out at Party Headquarters here also in which a large number of the Partymen and leaders participated.  They danced to the beating of drums and also distributed sweets.
Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader, Dr Nirmal Singh termed the victory of BJP in Ladakh as historical. He said the credit goes to Party ground level workers who worked hard to take the message of BJP to every nook and corner in Ladakh region. Their hard work has really yielded fruit.
He said the BJP under the leadership of Narendra Modi will create history in the country as it is pledged to give a clean and corruption free government. He said people of Ladakh have thrown a lot of responsibility on the shoulders of party and BJP will leave no stone unturned in coming to their expectations.
Party MP and another senior leader Shamsher Singh Manhas said that with this victory BJP has established itself in all three regions of the State and it has once again become clear that the people across the State have found BJP most reliable and people friendly political party.
He said those who were saying that the Party was confined to only two districts of Jammu should now accept the ground reality that it has its strong holds in Jammu, Ladakh and Kashmir.
BJP general secretary (Org) Ashok Kaul also termed the Party’s victory an vindication of the policies and programmes of the coalition in the State. He said Party’s victory in LAHDC, Leh elections shows that people of the region have proved the detractors of BJP wrong.
Party leaders Bansi Lal Bharti, Balbir Ram Rattan, Yudhvir Sethi, Nand Kishore, Rajni Sethi, Naresh Dogra, Subash Gupta, Subash Jandial, Ch Vikram Randhawa, Govind Sareen and others participated in the celebrations.
