Group of Concerned Citizens expresses anguish over recent spate of killing

SRINAGAR, Oct 9: The “Group of Concerned Citizens”, a non-political Civil Society Group comprising academicians, businessmen, advocates, scientists, former judges has expressed deep anguish and shock over the recent spate of killings in Kashmir, particularly the barbaric murders of ML Bindroo, Supinder Kaur, Principal of a Government Higher Secondary School and Deepak Chand, a teacher, besides a civilian shot dead by the security forces at a check-point in District Anantnag.
While empathizing with victim families and offering them heartfelt condolences, the Group has sought a time-bound judicial probe in to these dastardly killings.
The Group has also urged the Government to unmask the unknown murderers and bring them to justice at the earliest. The Group has expressed solidarity with the victim families and assured them full moral support.
Further, the Group has vehemently condemned the forces attempting to fish in troubled waters by creating a wedge between different communities living peacefully in the Valley.
The Group condemned the mischievous videos gone viral on social media about imaginary migration of people.
The Group has, meanwhile, assured its full support to efforts made at any level for creating and nurturing an atmosphere of amity between different communities living in the Valley.
